This exercise is a companion to Exercise 10. In it, we will learn how to create a template that utilizes text.

Steps:

1. Create a new document: 8.5" width, 11" height, 300ppi

2. You will then use Guides to create a border that is considered "text safe"

3. You will then select a font and size and use the following text for 5 separate layers:

• The Thing Itself
• The Detail
• The Frame
• Time
• Vantage Point

 

4. You will then insert an image and apply a "layer style" or the "fx" symbol. This will be a black stroke on the outside of the image. The width of the stroke will be assigned in class.
